About Us

Longtime friends and fashion designers, Nicole Jerahian and Paula Rinkovsky, decided to merge their creative energy to form a new vintage denim line called Disciples of Denim. Throughout the many years of working in the LA garment industry, they were able to acquire all the necessary sources to bring their designs into reality.

Nicole who studied design at the Paris fashion Institute in France, has worked as a Design Director for well very known corporations, like Chico’s, Walmart, Target, and New York & co. This experience has given her an invaluable understanding of the mass market.

Paula, who went to Otis Parsons School of Design couldn’t wait to graduate and start her own clothing line. Sure enough, she started a company called Kamellia that made dresses and separates from inspired vintage prints which she ran for many years. She has also consulted and designed for numerous smaller companies giving her an in-depth understanding of the boutique business of unique pieces.

Both were introduced to fashion and sewing at an early age by their mothers. Being taught to make their own clothes, they each acquired their own unique styles and abilities that now compliment each other.

They loved the idea of vintage Levi’s being naturally worn out, giving them that soft hand with rips and tears that make each piece unique. Taking the blank canvas of vintage 501 and 505 Levi’s, they took the hot happening embellishments and embroideries that are dominating the runways and translated them into their own designs using real nail heads, grommets, and quality embroideries. They offer one of kind pieces with a couture edge for the denim fashionista who wants to make a statement.

D o D’s collection now offers denim jeans and jackets, and are now adding the timeless khaki military pant with their signature embellishments. Coming soon will be vintage blazers decorated looks with nail heads and embroidery.
